What types of photography do you offer?
Jon J Photography specializes in portraits, headshots, branding, graduation, maternity, on-location sessions, event coverage, and wedding photography. Not sure what you need? Reach out and I'll point you in the right direction.
Do you offer wedding photography?
Yes. Visit the Wedding Collections page to view packages and pricing. Wedding inquiries are handled separately from portrait sessions. View Wedding Collections
Where are sessions held?
Sessions are held at our private studio in Columbia, SC or on-location at a spot of your choice within the Columbia area. On-location sessions outside the Columbia metro area are subject to travel fees.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance. Peak seasons, especially graduation and wedding season, fill up quickly. The sooner you book, the better your chances of getting your preferred date.
When should I schedule my maternity session?
Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 32-36 weeks of pregnancy. If you're expecting twins or multiples, we recommend booking around 29-30 weeks for the best results.
What is your deposit and payment policy?
A 50% non-refundable retainer is required at booking to secure your session date. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session. Accepted payment methods include credit card, cash, money order, or certified check. Personal checks are not accepted.
What happens if I'm late to my session?
Please plan to arrive on time and fully prepared. If you are more than 15 minutes late your session may be shortened. If you are more than 30 minutes late your session may be canceled without a refund.
When will I receive my photos?
Portrait, headshot, and branding sessions are delivered within 7-10 business days. Wedding galleries are delivered within 4-6 weeks. Rush delivery is available for an additional fee and is subject to schedule availability.
How many images will I receive?
The number of final images depends on your package. After your session you will receive a private proof gallery to select your favorites for professional retouching. Additional retouched images can be purchased separately.
Will my images be edited?
Yes. Every delivered image receives professional color correction and retouching. We enhance your best features while keeping a natural, authentic look. RAW or unedited files are never delivered under any circumstances.
Can I change outfits during my session?
Outfit changes depend on your package. For single-outfit packages, arrive wearing your outfit with hair and makeup done. For multi-outfit packages, changes are allowed but count toward your session time so plan accordingly.
What should I wear?
Solid colors and neutral tones photograph best. Avoid busy patterns, neon colors, and large logos. Need styling guidance? I'm happy to help before your session.
Can I bring a guest?
Yes. If having someone with you helps you feel comfortable, they are welcome. Clients under 18 must have a parent or guardian present. If you'd like your guest included in a few shots, mention it when booking.
Can you come to my office or business location?
Yes. On-location corporate and business photography is available for headshots, branding content, and team portraits. Travel fees may apply outside the Columbia metro area.
Can you photograph my entire team?
Absolutely. Whether you need individual headshots or group portraits, we can create professional, cohesive imagery that represents your team well. Contact us for a custom quote.
Do you offer social media and branding content photography?
Yes. Branding and lifestyle photography is available for entrepreneurs and businesses who need strong visual content for their websites, social media, and marketing materials.
Can I bring confetti or glitter?
Confetti and glitter in the studio must be approved in advance. For outdoor sessions, you're welcome to bring them but you are responsible for cleanup. We can also add confetti effects digitally during editing if you prefer.
Do you provide hair and makeup services?
We do not offer in-house hair and makeup, but we can refer you to trusted beauty professionals upon request. Arrive fully ready to maximize your session time.
